This paper, based on recent lead statistical data, analyzes the situation of  lead resource development in China from lead resource reserves, production, supply & demand, import & export, and price, presents the issues and according suggestions. China owns abundant lead resource with lead reserves ranking at the top, production and consumption at the foremost, but faces a few issues such as low lead resource guarantee degree, heavy dependence on imported ores, lagging lead recycling industry, and severe environmental pollution.
